DELICIA DE MI TIERRA TULUM

The food was amazing! This was our last night out, and the reviews for this place did not disappoint. A nice intimate place with great service. The appetizers were huge. We ordered 2 and probably could have been satisfied with that. We also ordered the steak, and it was delightful. The mole seemed overpowering at first, but once you mixed it with the most amazing mashed sweet potato, it was so well balanced. Amazing! I wish we had more time to come back and try some of the other dishes. There was a thunderstorm, and the power went out, but it was definitely a vibe.

Absolutely loved this gem of a place! We found it online and decided to go as it had good reviews. We couldn’t have been more impressed by the food and service!! The waitress who served us was so attentive and kindly explained what the dishes were to us in English. The food was authentic Mexican, reasonably priced, beautifully presented and ridiculously tasty. We left feeling very full but so pleased we went. It must be a hidden gem as we were the only people eating in the restaurant - honestly this is surprising as it had a cool vibe and as mentioned amazing food and service (to the point of feeling like everyone else we saw eating at other eateries were absolutely missing out!!!). Service was amazing and as well as the food. The waiter explained us every dish in detail and even brought us different salsas from different dishes to try in order to choose the perfect one for us. We went twice there for dinner and none of dishes failed. Quesabiria and chicken stuffed with the goat cheese were my favorites. Highly recommended

Great little place we found while biking round the area. We visited twice and spent a few hours here each time. Wasn’t too busy and a nice place to chill during the day if you want a few drinks. Passion fruit mezcalita was next level, we also had the churros and chocolate flan which were very good. However, the little bowl of homemade salsas and chilli sauces you get were insanely good. I could happily come here just for that. I even managed to ask the owner for a small sample to bring home. The service is great, the owner was super friendly and made a point of talking to people who came in (I think most of the recipes are from her family as well). Well worth stopping by!

The sauce under the shrimp was fantastic! Really inspired cooking with original flavors and traditional ingredients! My grandson loved the enchiladas! I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for unique Mexican food!

We recommend this place to everyone! The food is insane. Best food we had in Mexico yet. The staff is super lovely and helpful. We really enjoyed the evening and we are happy that we had the chance to try such great good. It was so good that we didn’t take a picture of the 3rd dish which was the trilogy of sopes because we just started to eat. Amazing! Thank you.

Excellent place if you want to try authentic mexican cuisine. The dishes were presented elegantly yet simple. Everything was delicious and full of flavor, without being overwhelming. The atmosphere was cozy and the service superb, Antonio explained every recipe thoroughly, and made us feel very welcome. We are grateful to the entire staff and will definitely go back to try some more of this delicious food.

She generously shared her story and deep-rooted passion for the culinary arts, even going so far as to recommend other incredible local spots to try during our stay. She personally took us on a food tour through the city, introducing us to some of her favorite hidden gems—an experience we’ll never forget. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was equally remarkable. It felt warm, inviting, and authentic—perfectly capturing the spirit of Tulum. During our stay, we also took advantage of their private catering services. Every morning, her talented chefs prepared delicious breakfasts for us, each dish showcasing the same level of care and flavor we experienced at the restaurant. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers not only amazing food but also heartfelt hospitality and a genuine connection to the local culture, Delicia de mi Tierra is a must-visit. We left with full stomachs and even fuller hearts.
